I guess I can't see where it's leaking. Can you describe it better? I see some Teflon tape on the fuel lines. That doesn't belong there. Those are o-ring fittings. Maybe it was overtightened to try and seal it up causing the leak? Is it the adapter that is causing the leak? Or is it the housing of the throttle body itself?

 

Circled it. You can see the drips of gas. It's cracked on the housing, just behind where the 3/4" fitting goes on. Must've been like that when I got it.

Well good luck with the JBWeld. Even if works temporarily it likely won't work long term because of the ethanol in fuel. Personally I'd take it off, take it all apart, clean it very well, and try some green loctite in the crack because it could weep down into the crack. I'd likely use loctite on the adapter too... then JBWeld over the top of it.

If I remember correctly, the 4.3 and SBC all had the same TBI with different injectors. The TPS and IAC I think changed a time or 2.

 

LKQ doesn't deal with stuff this old. No idea what you have for wrecking yards around you but you can try car-part.com
It is only as good as the actual yard you are dealing with but you should be able to find a new TBI.

 

I'm a couple hours drive away from the nearest wrecking yard. Just trying to get a bandaid on this thing for now. I have found a 4.3 vortec for sale I might pick up.
This engine is in bad shape and hardly worth putting anything into. I did the head gaskets when I got the van, lot of damage in one cylinder, bad wear in the others, broken boss on one of the starter mounts, 285 000km, holes rusted into the rocker covers, I could go on.... But the brakes, frame, suspension, transmission, exhaust all seem good, some rust holes on the body but I'm good at bodywork.
So I should get it running and go get that other engine

 

Dodgy fix holding the fuel line in just the right position with a bungee cord and a strap and it works lol. Better keep a fire extinguisher at hand
I'm embarrassed to say I also had a blown fuse on the fuel pump circuit. I didn't check this right away because it had the same symptoms as it did a couple months ago and that was not the issue. I should know better and always check the simplest things first!
