Default 95 G20 lower steering shaft rubber boot

New to this forum. Missouri state inspection failed my van for a leaking gearbox.

In the process of replacing the gearbox, I destroyed the boot that attaches from the top of gearbox to the firewall that encloses the steering intermediate shaft and universal joint.

Chevrolet no longer has this part available nor can I locate it on the net. Any suggestions where it may be available or a replacement from another vehicle the will fit. Thanks

Screw it, you dont need it. Lube all moving parts with lithium grease and dont worry about it. They didnt even put one of the Jeeps.

Thanks for the reply.

I found that a warehouse in Beaver Dam, WI is the repository for GM's discontinued parts inventory. However, parts can only be ordered through an authorized GM dealer. They have the boot in stock for $35. Ordered it thru a local Chev dealer. I just feel better having that u-joint protected.
