My mechanic says I need to replace the lower steering shaft. So far neither of us can find one. I've looked at LMC truck, E-Bay. Locally no luck. The part that needs to be replaced is not numbered and in gray here on the LMC steering page. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cst/full.aspx?Page=134. I know there are probably other options. Suggestion or knowing where to find this part would be appreciated.

 

I'm pretty sure from what I've been reading that the rag joint is at the base of the steering column. However, I've been told the problem is here, the area circled and can't find any parts to replace that.

 

Okay - dumb question - can you find the whole entire steering column?

There are far too many options to try to narrow down your application for used parts.

But it does look like 'column' refers to inside piece.

You might want to search on other things, such as gear box???
