Default Anyone know if there is a rear heater coolant control valve?

Hello, I have a 2013 Chevy Express Passenger van with rear heat. I'm converting the passenger van into a camper and am thinking about installing a hot water calorifier near the rear heater. Therefore, I am wondering if there is a coolant heat control valve somewhere that turns on and off the flow to the rear heater core, and where this valve would be located? Thanks

There is. It's a vacuum control 3 way valve on top heater hose. Very prone to internal breakage. I put a brass thumb valve on mine to simplify it and need no heat most of the year. You can just put one in top hose that runs to back if needed

To quote GM:

Continuous coolant flow is necessary from the heater connection on the engine to the heater connection on the radiator or water pump in order to control transmission oil temperatures during closed thermostat (warm-up) operation. Do not alter this flow as it may result in premature engine or transmission failure.

I am fairly certain my 2002 with rear heat has no valve. I looked it over because it has a small leak and the simplest, cheapest repair would be to just put the connector hose from a no rear heat van on and abandon the rest.

2013 is much newer, although still the same basic body underneath, so it could be different.
