Insulation is my current project for the Express cargo van. I have added sound deadening layer to the bare walls and ceiling. Having great results with Frost King Duct Insulation from Home Depot! A fraction of the cost of the specialized products.
I am going to drop the front headliner and add a layer to the bare steel there, too.
Next is a layer of foam, then wall and ceiling panels.

I drove the van the other day..... had to use the horn... and after driving my Truck I noticed the
horn on these vans are mmm whats the word I am looking for.... SUCKS... so another trip to the
junk yard I took along with me a small 12 volt battery... cause whats worse than spending the time
to take off a part that does not work... so I tested out some horns before I removed them .
After collecting 4 horns.. I was outta there.. ( DAMN its Cold out there )... 11 degrees with wind shill.
anyways..
They had a couple new vans come in ... and once again I am a lucky guy....
I will be going back tomorrow... to get all the Custom Wood out of one of the vans.
The amount of wood in this van ... MUCH MORE.. than what I removed out of the other one.

Has others made the transition to LED dome lights ?
I know when Dan and his wife was here visiting the other day I noticed
that Dan had already made that upgrade in his dome light housing so when
I upgraded their Dome light to the newer model style I found out that
the bulb will only work one way. FYI I didnt know that. lol
So I was very lucky today...while pulling parts for the interior I happend
to look at a side mirror that was broken on a Denali I was like OMG
looky there.... I noticed someone had spent the extra money on LED
bulbs for the side mirror lights... hhhmmm so I went inside the truck started
pulling dome light covers.. and this is what I was able to get from that truck.
I will put them to good use for sure...
i wll say this.. there is NO way I will ever go back to those dull yellow bulbs.
again... lol...

I wish I had mirror lights. But beware. I don't know when the change happened, but my '16 doesn't have a flasher relay. In the past, when you add a trailer, or change bulbs out to LEDs, the resistance changes, and an old style flasher relay also needs to be upgraded(not possible in a '16). Probably not an issue if you only change out the mirror lights, but if you do the rest of them, and you don't have a flasher relay, you'll need ballast resistors. I changed out all of my rear bulbs to LEDs, and ended up reverting back to "dull yellow bulbs" for brake/turn/running lights, because I didn't want the hassle. I kept the backup and third brake light as LEDs.
My question to you is, are the door lights and the switched lights the same bulb? I don't mind the "dull yellow" thing happening with the doors, but would like a bit more with the switched spots. I find those a bit lacking in brightness.

Stan the dome light has 3 bulbs in it.. the middle light bulb is the main door dome light the other 2 are actuated by the buttons which has 2 more bulbs.
