Default G10 van stops running

Hello- I have a 1979 Chevy G10 with a rebuilt 1994 350 engine. It runs for 5 minutes then the fuel pressure drops to zero and it quits. I have tried running it with the gas cap off thinking it was a venting issue but no luck. Any ideas? Thanks Rick

I read on another forum that the fuel filter can fill up with crud from the gas tank, have to replace my tank maybe?

I have a carb on it and a fuel pressure regulator running at 5.5 lbs of pressure. The pressure drops to zero as it starts to die. I have to wait about 15 minutes before it will start again. Also seems to quit mostly when going uphill.

Electric or mechanical fuel pump? If the pressure is dropping, it seems to me to be a fuel delivery issue.

Electrical. I can't imagine it would run for a while than stop, but maybe?
