Default Heated mirrors & rear defog windows

I'm taking ownership of a 2006 Express 3500 passenger van. It's been gutted so it's now a cargo van with windows-just what I need.

It has option C49, defogger, rear window.

I'll be adding heater power mirrors with the turn signal light.

I've seen AC/heater control panels with a mirror heater button OR rear window heater button.

Do they work together on one button?

Yes. The same button activates both the rear defogger and the heated mirrors.

Oh I'd be interested in your heated mirror swap - have any info you'd like to share?

Thanks - Ed

Hey Ed,

I believe there are a few youtube vids about it. I don't know if all vans came with the wiring for heated remote mirrors but it appears that it's part of the power windows & lock harness. If you have power windows & locks, chances are good that the mirror plugs are just waiting to be used.
