Default Leaking coolant on passenger firewall , heater core hose, maybe Freeze plug ?or ?

Hi

My 2005 V8 van is leaking coolant from around the firewall area ?

Not sure if its heater hose or something else as I do not have a way to get under the van until I borrow a floor jack ,

But its dripping around the firewall area ,

If it is the heater hoses do I replace them from under the Van ?

Could it be a freeze plug ? Anything else that could leak coolant on the passenger side ?

Thanks for your help

Do you have any photos? You can buy some UV leak trace dye to pinpoint the leak. Mostly likely heater hoses though. Replace from top.

Sorry no pictures yet , the coolant that is leaking has a green tint and the oil is not milky so its not a head gasket,

as a quick fix can I cut the heater core hose and put a bolt in it + clamp ?

I will look on youtube and see if there are any videos .

Thanks for your ideas

Hi....
I went to my buddy and used his floor jack......

It seems that the water pump is what is leaking , it is just dripping on the passenger side as it travels from the center of the water pump downstream,
or it looks like the center of the pump !

anyway now its time to get a new water pump installed ........any volunteers

It's likely time to replace all the rubber hoses too when you do the water pump. I'd do a least all the hoses that connect to the water pump. Get a set of cable pliers for the hose clamps. I used pliers for years not knowing what I was missing out on!

Something like these (I got whatever brand the local parts store was selling)
