Default Found some cut hoses/coolant issue.

How's it going fellas.
I just threw about 3 gallons of coolant in my moms truck and that thing was empty this afternoon. There was a decent size puddle under the passenger side door, but I don't see any kind of hose that's wet. The only thing I see that's wet is right underneath a step bar. I can post picture in a bit, but I was looking around under the hood and I came across these 2 hoses that seem to be cut. Can somebody explain what these are for?

It's right underneat the intake box

When there is a puddle on the drivers side floor it usually means that the heater core is leaking. The cut hoses look like heater hoses but can't be heater hoses since it is leaking inside.

filling it up and running it doesn't produce a leak? losing that much in a day should give you some pretty plain clues...

check your oil make sure it's not ending up there.

the hoses you put up do appear to be heater hoses, so I dunno. what year and all is the truck?

hemifeverx Welcome to the forum..

The hoses look like the ones that may possibly run to the rear heating system if its a Tahoe/Suburban with the rear heat and AC

If the truck is a '93 (or close) 5.7, one of those hoses has a metal fitting on the end and uses a cheap plastic so-called "quick-connect" to attach it to the rear of the intake manifold. They're prone to failure. Royal pain in the **** to (a) get to, and (b) replace. Another reason I don't miss my '93 all that much.
