Default van fired up new sensor

Hey its running again. After going through the procedure to check for a bad crank sensor which was one of the outside wires had 12vdc the other outside wire had 10vdc and as engine was turned by hand clockwise it was to go from 10 vdc to 0 vdc. It didnt go 10 to 0 so said it was bad. The center wire is ground so checked it with battery positive to get 12vdc. New part came and it fired up no shims required. So even new parts can be bad I ordered an ac delco brand still had same part numbers as advance and napa so no guarantees any of these parts work anymore.

Default PO336 code

My 2006 Silverado Diesel Duramax is showing this code. Does anyone know where the crank sensor is located on the engine?
