Exclamation Roof Panel needed

Hi guys,
Here's a challenge: I'm hunting for a front roof panel (original GM # 15663140). It sits right above the windshield. Problem is that on my 1992 Chevy G20 Van this panel is completely rusted out and just barely holds the windshield in place. Unfortunately no body shop in my area (Tampa Bay, Florida) wants to touch this job and manufacture a panel - and finding one at a salvage yard is next to impossible. This part is long discontinued by GM and I could not find any OEM that offers it. I don't want to scrap my car as (apart from this issue) it still runs strong and serves me pretty well. Anyone has an idea where to get this panel?
Thanks,
Erhard

Edit: Copied from the "Welcome" section.

No 12 in this picture is the part I need...

Go to www.car-part.com and find a yard in CA, AZ, or some place where things don't rust. Call them and get them to cut the top of the windshield frame off and have them ship you the whole thing.

Edit: don't search for the windshield frame. Search for some other part (driver's door for example) and look for ones that have pictures of the van. Call them up and see if they have the whole vehicle still.

These are notorious for rot in this area.

You don't necessarily have to go so far west though, even Texas or the Carolinas you may find a solid one.

Problem solved; I found one in Arizona. It'll be here in 2 weeks; 350 bucks incl. cutting it out and shipping - can't complain about that :-)
Thanks to everyone who offered their help!

Nice 👍 Post pictures of the work when it gets to you. How many places did you have to call before you found one?

None :-) I sent out about 15 emails: 4 couldn't help, 2 requested pictures, 1 got back with an offer, and the rest did not reply (yet).
