Somehow I think they were gray when new , not black. wondering if I should restore to gray or painting them.

Lol. Sorry. I thought you might get a laugh from the peel and stick chrome.
You could also look at an auto wrecker for good used ones, or just buy new after market.

Lol, but does that work?
In the other hand, yeah, I might buy all around new, but will have to also change the back top “pilars” -those things in top of the back lights.
