I hit a deer recently, and it cracked my grille. I bought a replacement, and took it off today, and noticed that the a/c condenser bracket was cracked as well. The a/c system works fine, but the condenser is kinda flopping around. The problem is, I can't find the bracket for sale anywhere! It seems to me that it's only sold with the condenser, even though it's a separate part that's easily removable. Does anybody know of where I can find one, or if it even has its own part number? It seems to me that I'll have to go to junkyards to find it, but the closest junkyard to me is 45 minutes away, and they're all only open when I'm at work.

Try Super Glue or Gorilla Glue.

 

Yeah, that's what I'm trying now. Regular super glue is too brittle, but hopefully E6000 does the trick.

 

I would think some fabricating with strap steel and pop rivets might do the trick!

So I tried supergluing it, but it didn't hold strong enough. I then looked into plastic welding, took an old wood burning iron, and set to work.
It's not pretty, but it's definitely stronger than the glue. Popped it back in, fits perfectly, and everything went back together nicely.

Here's what the result looks like. The bulk of the crack is just melted together, while the ribs are reinforced with bent staples and paperclip pieces melted in.
