Default Where to install mechanical oil gage

I have a 2007 Chevy express v
an with a 6 liter motor

I show no oil pressure at idle
Have installed new sending unit, fresh oil and oil fiter

Runs great no extra noise when the indicator shows 0 pressure
Checked oil while running and it shows to top dot

Question I have a new mechanical gage it does not have an adapter to fit in the sending unit and I can't find one
Is there other spots I can fit the adapters that came with the gageThanks any info would b appreciated

Pretty sure a mechanical oil gauge would have to run off the same place your oil pressure sensor is although, if you have the room, if you could find an adaptor that had two outlets, you could run them both at the same time. If you motor is not making noise you must be getting oil, and you could just plug off the hole with a plug. It's been my experience over many years that when such things happen it's the sensor, not the dash gauge that is bad 9 out of 10 times, but you may have the exception as well.

GM attaches the gauge where the oil filter goes. Search for "EN-47971 Oil Pressure Gage Adapter"

I would think that the threads for the sensor would be normal US pipe threads. A little work with some pipe fittings would probably work for a temporary adaptor. for testing. Now if its Metric threads, that's a different story.

I think it's metric.

everything on GM vehicles since at least the 80's is metric (except for axles which are probably outsourced)

That is an issue with US vehicles using both metric and English style threads.
