I have a '03 tahoe and my haynes manuel shows that the tps sensor is located on the right side of the throttle body but there's nothing there. it a 4.8 v8 and if anyone has any idea to where it is let me know. <!-- / message --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig --><!-- END TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig -->

Its one of these 2 sensors. One is the IAC and the other is the TPS, maybe someone else here can verify which one it is. My gut tells me its the lower one. If you dont have any of these shown in the pic, where was it purchased? models vary in different states.

Default tps location problem

Well I just found some bad news on this damn truck. it has a throttle control actuator and an accelerator pedal position sensor. So this fix just got more expensive. do you know if you can just change the pedal assembly?

This won't help you I guess, but in Mike's picture above, the LOWER one is the TPS. It measures the throttle shaft angle. IAC is above it, providing throttle bypass air flow.

Thanks for verifying that Bugfuel. I guess you have the same TB as my Tahoe, it just has one harness that goes to everything internally and I dont think they are serviceable, they are riveted shut. I guess thank gawd for core charges at least.
