03 Tahoe z71 5.3 w/ movable pedals. my son had transmission repaired ($1500) but mechanic advised the pedal asy needed replacing because it was giving tps/pps codes. After 2 days tranny locked into limp home and refused to shift out of second. Mechanic is MIA.
I repaired the other codes, maf, o2, etc. and cleared codes. I removed the red plastic lock from the top of the connector block @ pps and cycled the pedal to full throttle (koeo). Next I drove around the block several times: no error codes, but it still will not shift out of second. What now? I know there is a reset/calibration for pps, but I can't find any reliable info. Any suggestions?
