I recently bought a 2017 Camaro SS that was a repo with no motor, trans, or engine control module.
I also bought a wrecked one that had an engine trans and ecm. I switched out the gauge cluster, ecm, tcm, bcm, and the keyless module, so I could possibly use the key fob from the wrecked car. I can get power to dash, windows, locks but the radio says theft lock, and the security lock is on the dash along with service theft deterrent system, service airbag system. I assume the modules cross talk in the car and are VIN related. Can anyone explain the system or help out in any way. I'm kinda lost and would like to avoid the dealer at all cost.
