I have both the 89 350 and a 97-98 Vortec 350 to chose from (still in the truck) so it looks like the Vortec is the way to go. My 89 350 is brand new crate motor and the Vortec has about 25k on it.

I have a machine shop and can make just about any adapter imaginable. If not, I will hit up ebay for a carb ,manifold and adapt to that.

I think it's possible,elongating the holes in tbi intake,I'm sure there is a write up online about it

I hav an old TBI manifold laying around somewhere. Be sweet if I could make it fit.
