Default 1993 full size blazer

i have a 1993 chevy blazer 4x4 fullsize. It shifts from first to second and not from 2nd to 3rd. Any ideas of what i can do to start with a simple solution? THANKS

Review the transmission diagnostic flow chart.

I'm not sure if you have the 700r4 or the 4L60 transmission in this truck, but it could be a valve issue, or dirt trans fluid, I would start with a fuel flush and new filter, to see if the issue resolves itself. If not then, it could be time for a rebuild, as the valvue body, band or friction materials could be at fault.

http://www.seafoamsales.com/ Add some Seafoam to the tranny before you do the flush this might help the issue.

scootr, start your own thread rather than hijacking someone elses. it'll keep everyone happy, especially the moderators.

my 93 full size blazer shifts hard from 1st to 2nd until it warms up. Usually i let off the throttle during the shift to ease the transition. I am looking for a possible repair.
