I'm not sure if you have the 700r4 or the 4L60 transmission in this truck, but it could be a valve issue, or dirt trans fluid, I would start with a fuel flush and new filter, to see if the issue resolves itself. If not then, it could be time for a rebuild, as the valvue body, band or friction materials could be at fault.
http://www.seafoamsales.com/ Add some Seafoam to the tranny before you do the flush this might help the issue.
