1997 Chevy K1500 5.7L "R" motor
Ok kiddies!!! lol.
I have a '97 K1500, bought from auction. Drove it home 25 miles pretty bad miss in it. Got your standard tune-up stuff. Found the distributor base broken when I went to put cap on. Replaced distributor. I have NO spark. Replaced crank sensor 3 times due to no signal OUT of the sensor, on the last replacement, got signal. Long story short.... EVERY ignition part has been replaced, swapped VCM with known good. I even sent it to the dealership. They said "we can't find it, we are going to have to start throwing parts at it". I have power & ground at CKP, CMP, ICM, Coil, wiring harness has been replaced.
The CKP is putting out 8.5-9.5 volts. I have lost my dang mind thrying to find the issue. to me it sounds like ground, but i have grounds.
It's not fuel.ANY help would be GREAT!!!
