Default 1997 Chevy Silverado Help!

Hello, I have a 1997 Chevy Silverado pickup 5.7 liter 4wd I have a problem with a stuttering, almost stalling out when I reach 30-45 mph, once I reach past 45mph it stops. So, I start truck up, put my foot on gas pedal, once it is around 30-45 mph it starts stuttering, acting like it wants to stall, heistent,so I press my foot on gas pedal more and once it gets past 45-50 mph it stops the stuttering etc and rides smooth. Can someone please help any/all suggestions!!

I had a friend with a similar problem it was the throttle position sensor. I would test it before replacing though. no fun just replacing parts.
