Default 1999 Silverado A/C Compressor wont take in Freon

Just the other day i bought some freon to put in my truck to make the a/c colder. Me and my dad tried putting it in and the compressor didnt seem like it wanted to come on and suck it in. The a/c in the stuck worked before we tried doing this, now it will not work at all. We replaced the orphis tube to see if that was the problem but still no luck. Checked all fuses. If anyone can give any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it.

Try jumping out the low pressure switch on the side of the accumulator. This should let the compressor run. Only do this long enough to put in freon. Do not run it like this for long or you could damage thew compressor.

Thanks for the info. I am not sure what you mean by "jumping out" the switch. Do you mean replacing it?
