2010 chevy aveo will not go over 4000 rpm
I have a 2010 Chevy Aveo with 114,000 miles on it. It will not go over 4000 rpm. I took it to a mechanic and he said it was a clogged catalytic converter. So I took it and knocked the insides of it out and put it back on to see if it had good flow and restoration of power, but it did not do anything. I have no codes that pop up and I do not know what to do.

Actually the mechanic COULD have been correct but he wasn't. It happens. I'd make sure you are getting enough fuel by checking your fuel pressure regulator. I'd also clean the MAF out, a good idea at 144k. If all that fails then I'd do a compression test on your engine. Does it use any oil between changes?
