Hello everybody.
I have the 2012 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3 V8. The truck is a 4x4 not a Z71. Do they have different transmission coolers for the Z71 and the 4x4? If so can you put a Z71 cooler in a 4x4 to help it run a little cooler when towing? Thanks in adnvace

I honestly don't know about the 5.3 liter Z-71 but one can buy a full aluminum radiator with two rows, not one and it would certainly lower your transmission temps, for some vehicles it was designed for. Or you could add on a transmission air-cooler that mounts in front of the rad to provide additional cooling for the transmission fluid.
