I am wanting to rebuild my Silverado engine to have a few more ponys. I am wanting to use the engine that is in it also. a few questions seeing this will be my first engine rebuild. 1. What would be a good rebuild/build kit for this motor? 2. is there some manufacturers that are better at making different parts than others? i.e.. a manufacturer that makes a great cam but doesn't have very good pistons. (hope that made sense). I want this motor to last a long while so I want to do it right the first time. it was pasted down to me by my grandfather so I want the best parts I can get at a good price. I am wanting to do the rebuild myself other than the machine work seeing how you need special machines. I do know a lil bit about motors but I am always learning as well. thanks in advance
