More importantly is the difference one cylinder to another one.Of course I mean within reason. What is the highest one to the lowest one??.Why do you ask??.What is the issue your dealing with??Judging the condition of a engine is more the job of a leakdown test.

I was just wondering. I have 130-140 @ all cyl.
10psi different. This is not to bad
I have been chasing a problem this thing is running Rich. It is a TBI 454 1992>
No codes had a bad injector so I replaced both. I have 12psi fuel pressure which is within spec. #1 is oil fouled with a 140 comp @ that cyl. Possibly
Vavle guide or seal, mybe an oil ring stuck.Could this cause this thing to run rich?
I had codes for ecm temp switch & 02 sensor that I had replaced.
The map sensor is good. I don't seem to have any vacume leaks. This engine is driving me mad.
Any advice would be appriciated.
Thanks

Have you checked the throttle position sensor??.What makes you think it is running rich??.The oil foul, percentages are in favor of guides/seals.As a matter of policy we always do both heads because the rest are sure to follow as a issue soon after you do one side. How many miles are on this??.

Is the O2 sensor you replaced on the exhaust of #1 cylinder? I don't know what effect that would have on fuel schedule if it were. I'd suspect valve seal also as tthe compression is good, and 130-140 (don't have the specs) sounds good. If it were an oil control ring, I'd say high crankcase pressure (blowby), and lower compression. My $.02 worth.

2 months ago it threw a code for the tps I replaecd it.
Driver of this p-van is complaining of the rich fuel condiion. I believe it was a number of these issues, I put a hotter plug in it with a nonfouler & it also helped a little more.
I don't know how many miles or hours. It is ran at the port in a yard @ mostly under 25 mph.
Thanks guys I will probubly inspect & replace the valve seal @ #1 intake.
