I took off the pollution pump on my 1984 suburban 454 today and i was wondering if anyone could tell me what belt i should use since the belt that it did use went around the pollution pump, alternator and fan. I took off the pollution pump because of the fact that it has broken two belts in the past about 6 months but it has only been driven around 200 miles in the past 6 months, and if anyone has any advice concerning weather or not it was the pollution pump please give it. Also i put a new alternator on in the past month so i know it isnt it breaking the belts.

 

turn all the pulleys and see which one is the stiffest, do u have emission control laws where u are?
