My sons 94 chevy 1500 pick up started sputtering today. He went and bought gas and on the way home it just shut off. He pushed it about a mile home. Turns over but no start. What do you think we should look at? Fuel pump maybe? I am 60 miles away from the truck right now but I am going to see it tomorrow. Thanks!

 

Well you ruled out running out of gas, could be the fuel pump among a few other things. Id test the pressure on it first before you buy one.

 

Crappy gas would be my first guess.

Was it high octane?

Guess #2-ICM in the distributor.
