Default 98 cavalier CV shafts

Looking at replacing both drive shafts, I'll have a manual but I'm looking for any helpful do's and dont's. I'm thinking about doing any bushings that may be under there as well.
Thanks for your help,
Pat

All you need to do is un bolt the lower ball joint, and remove the axle nut. Push the strut aside and pull the axle. Sometimes you need to un due the tie rod from the knuckle to push the strut far enough out of your way. Be careful not to tear the abs wire undo it from the strut if needed. In a shop with the right tools it only takes 10-15 min per side. In your driveway maybe 1 hour with proper tools.

spray the ball joint nut, CV Shaft nut with WD 40 prior to working on the car to save a headache. Especially the ball joint....if the cotter pin is seized in the stud, you'll have to drill it out, and can be a pain.
Have a pry bar handy, sometime the shafts don't like to pop out and you have to pry the inner joint to get it to pop out. Once it pops out, have a drain pan underneath...sometimes the fluid leaks out the hole
