Ok so my situation is a little strange when I got my blazer it started the first time every time then I would have to turn the key a couple times before it would start and when it did it would sputter a second or 2 before the idle would come up and run normal now it takes 20 or more times before it will start if it will start at all and my gas gauge says empty until it starts then it reads normal sometimes I have to put a battery charger on it for an hour or so before it will start but it always turns over just fine, I have replaced the distributor cap and wires as well as the thing inside the distributor that turns and makes contact. any ideas?

 

Probably the fuel pump. Check the fuel pressure to be sure.
