Default Adding coolant through temp sending unit hole?

Hi there, I have finished building a 350 vortec and it's all buttoned up - except the coolant inside the block.

Can I add coolant through the temperature sending unit hole on the top of the air intake manifold?

Thoughts?

Thank you for your time.

I would remove the thermostat housing and do it through there.
