Air blower no defrost

Default Air blower no defrost
Blower only comes out the vent to face and body. It will not switch to defrost or on the floor. Any help would be appreciated. This is on Chevy suburban z71 2005

Probably the mode actuator is bad. It is located under the dash.

I agree with oldchevy, what's strange is I thought these would automatically default to defrost?
