Default air conditioner noise

I have a 1994 chevy silverado the air conditioner make a wining noise like the bearing is out is there any way to get it to stop with out replacing it ?

its a parts that easy to find at any junkyard. when the bearing are out it just easier to replace the thing. check your belt for rought cracks first.

You can buy just the bearing for the compressor. They are not that hard to change either, as long as you have an a\c service kit. most of the time you can do the job without even taking the compressor off the vehicle. bearings usually run around $60-70.

If you don't care if you lose your a\c, then there is an even cheap\easier solution for you. There is a company called "HELP!" They offer many solutions for problem like yours. They sell a braket with a pulley atteched to it that will bolt on in place of the a\c compressor. All you have to do is remove a\c compressor, install new bracket, and your original belt will fit right in place.
Check with your local jobber for the part. I did a google search for it and came up with this....
