I recently bought a 07 impala which was a police cruiser and i noticed that my automatic headlights don't work. It will be dark and my lights are set to auto but they dont turn on unless i manually do it. Could it be because it was a police package and those are disabled on those? if so can i enable them?

 

I believe you are correct, the auto feature is turned off with software, you will probably need to have the dealer software enable the auto function...

 

any idea what the cost would be?

 

Only the dealer can really tell you that, If you have a dealer you regularly use they may cut you a deal... if not I suspect it would be what ever the minimum hourly rate is probably in the ~$80 to $120 range but again only your dealer can tell you that for sure... and not all dealers may have the know-how call and ask...good luck and let us know the outcome and cost if you do find out...
