Default Bad temperature gauge

My2005 Chevy Venture Temperature gauge is stuck way below c. It tries to move when you turn the key on , but it stays stuck below the C on the gauge. My speed gauge and all other gauges are working correctly.
Has any of you out there ever seen this before. The vehicle runs OK I just don't want it to run hot and me not know it because this gauge has stopped working.

Between 2003 and 2006, GM had problems with the stepper motors in their gauges. I had a problem with an 03 Trailblazer and had to replace the steeper motors. I replaced all 6 to eliminate the chance of the others going bad later. If you can solder you can do it yourself. the stepper motors are fairly cheap. i got mine on Ebay.
