Default Blower Motor stopped working

2016 Chevy Equinox, 4 wheel drive, 2.4 L engine.
So my blower motor is temperamental.. works sometimes, last year my mechanic took it apart and couldn't find anything wrong with it and its been working great till 2 weeks ago.. it keeps dripping onto the passenger side floor.
It stopped working, then later on started working again but when you go thru all the speeds that doesn't change at all it stays on one setting. Then 3 days ago stopped and would not come back on.. So my son took it out today and put a new one in.. stopped once today but came on a bit later when clicking the buttons.. then I went out tonight I went fast around a corner, it started squeaking.. So my son took it back out and it had a lot of water in it.. what should I do now?

It sounds like the drain for the evaporator needs to be cleaned.

Service manual states the intake manifold has to be removed to access it but I can’t tell you for sure.

I recommend replacing the blower motor and resistor.

Ok Thank you,,, the blower motor is new as of yesterday,, but had water in it within a few hours. I will get someone to check the resistor.

It’s crucial first to get the drain line cleared though, as that is what is leading to condensate staying in there and getting everything wet.

ok thanks, I can see that plug, will see if i can get my other son to reach it and check it,, I did notice after using my ac that I do not leave a puddle under the car. which would make sense if that line is blocked

I've cleared the line from under the hood in the past on my cars using something flexible. Back in the day we had them, something like a pipe cleaner would work. I think my wife actually has some of them (in colors) in her craft supplies... once you clear it, I'm betting you get water running out immediately. These lines tend to clog with mold/mildew/dirt and anything that made it in past any cabin air filter you may or may not have.

Check the blower with 12V and make sure the new blower didn't get shorted and damaged by water...
