brake light issue
Hi, im new to the site. I have a 1991 s10. runs great except now i dont have brake lights or turn signal lights. i have headlights and parking lights but thats it. i checked the bulbs and fuses but have no clue where to go from here. pretty new at this. any advice on where to start would be very appreciative. thanks!!
Sounds like you have and open somewhere. To sniff this out you need to get yourself a or digital volt/ohm meter. Start at the fuse box and work you way back making sure you have 12 volts: 1st @ the fuse then 2nd on the wire at the light. If 12 volts are there next you would check for ground continuity. The black wire going to the light housing is typically the ground wire. Make sure this wire has a good zero ohm connection with the chassis. If not zero, splice into this wire and make a new ground connection. This should fix your problem.
