Default Can't bleed rear brakes on 98 Jimmy

Hey Everyone!

I'm new to the site as a member but have been reading posts for a while. Seems like a lot of good knowledge out there so I ponied up and joined the forum.

I have a 98 Jimmy that I cannot bleed the rear brakes on.

The fronts bleed OK but not the rear.

I cannot get fluid to pass through the ABS pump on the rear lines.

Something happened that caused the pump to shut down this side for some reason and I've been told that with the use of a very nice scan tool, the pumps can be actuated in order to get the fluid flowing again on the rear side.

Is there any other way around this?

I'd rather take care of it myself but I don't mind taking it to a shop to have this done as long as I know what I'm getting in to.

This happened after I replaced the master cylinder. Attempted to bleed the rear and nothing would come through. Tried a pressurized system to push the fluid through but still no go. I disconnected the line at the pump and blew air through the the lines so the lines appear to be clear.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
