Can't Find an Oil Dipstick Tube Seal ?
Hi, I just changed the tranny fluid and filter on the Express. When I was underneath I noticed a minor oil leak (not tranny fluid) from were the engine oil dipstick tube slots into the oil pan (its hard to see as the starter is in the way).
Does anybody know the correct name for the seal (I thought, 'oil dipstick tube seal' ?) as I can not find one anywhere and everything online points towards a tranny dipstick seal.
I'm in the UK so rely on Ebay and other internet sellers so any links would be appreciated.

No !
Same type of seal but for the oil dipstick tube, not the tranny dipstick tube. (I'm sure they are a different size). Thanks for the reply
.
Think I'll message that Ebay seller and ask, thanks for the link.

Oddly enough I just rolled out from under my Camaro after fixing the same problem!
I cleaned the area, the bottom of the dipstick tube and the hole with gun & equipment cleaner (lacquer remover/thinner works). I squirted a liberal bit of Permatex form-a-gasket around the stop ring on the dipstick tube and stuck it back in. That will work better than the original gasket that came on it.

Did you try and get a seal or just go ahead with the Permatex ?
