Default Car won't start, ticking in fuse box, battery is fine.... long story..

so I decided to install a amp and sub into my car and amidst the chaos of trying to hurry (first mistake) and complete this I reverse the polarity by connecting the positive to the ground and ground to the positive on the amp. since then I was able to start my vehicle once with the check engine light coming on. the next day I went to start it and nothing. I realized that I reversed those two wires and disconnected the battery and the 2 wires although I'm sure the damage was already done. now when my battery is connected I get a ticking noise coming from the fuse box. when I inspected it I noticed the ignition sw batt2 fuse was blown and when I turned the key my RPMs would shoot up but no other gauges worked. I replaced that fuse and in doing so, the ticking noise began, which turned out to be the alc prk lmp ctrl relay. I've tried putting in a different relay, reconnecting the battery, and still the same result. only now I turn the key and I get nothing from anywhere. so my questions are... could this be a starter relay, starter, or alternator issue if no other fuses/relays are blown, or did i fry my entire electrical system? (although i thought that's what the purpose of these fuses were to prevent) and what is the best approach/steps that should be taken in this process of elimination and how should i go about this? please and thank you's to all who can help
