Default carb problem

Hello I have a question. It seems to be a 1 bbl carburetor made in Asia (rochester copy?) for a 250 inline six on my 194 engine. It has very high fuel consumption. it is possible to change the nozzle / jet so that everything harmonizes, or should I change the carburetor

That would probably depend on the altitude, but yes if that is the case.

To determine if you have the correct jets in your carburetor, operate your vehicle for 20 minutes at sustained speeds. Stop and pull a plug. Gray - Good, Black - move down one jet size, White - move up one jet size. Do it all over again until you get a gray plug.=left

Thanks, I took out the main jet, it was 100! if I change to 0.60, do I also have to buy a new metering rod? Or can i use the same?

Metering rods need to be matched to the jet. Not only will you realize better gas mileage, but much improved performance.
