Default Check Engine Light

Hi, I'm new here and really needing some advice. I just recently bought a 06 Chevy crew cab z71 with 93k miles. The check engine light come on rite after I purchased so I had my friend to hook up reader. It showed 2 problems the oxygen sensor and evap sensor I just replaced both and the light still comes on. What else should I do.

Clear the codes and read them again when they come back.

After replacing the sensors and problem parts take off negative battery cable for ten seconds. This will clear problem codes and reset engine light. If it comes back on there is another problem to address if not then you are good to go.
