Default Cruise control problem

Hello

I own a 2008 Chevy Silverado 4x4 extended cab pick up truck.

Recently the cruise control works sometimes & then doesn't work.

I'm thinking the control switch on the steering wheel....any suggestions?

If it is the switch how much approx for a new one & how difficult is it to replace?

Thanks

I'd do a little more checking, as I think I have heard about the brake switch also being a possible cause of cruise control not working...
might want to check under the dash and check out the switch(s) attached to the brake pedal...

I believe you are correct.....something definitely going on with the brake pedal.
Will do some more checking.

Thanks again
