I am Chevygirl from Germany.
I love big and fat Us-Cars.
I hope you can help me. I need a Information about some Titles of Engineerings. On some Cars / PU are not the Title cui, there are the Titles Ltr. Is it only in Germany, or is it in the USA too?
I hope you understand what I mean. In the Film Smokey and the Bandits you can see that the Title are in Ltr. on the scoop.
I was thinking in the USA are the Titles in cui and not in Litr..
Can you tell me some Information, please?

Most of the US cars and trucks now have the engine displacement listed in litres as opposed to cubic inches. A 5.7 = a 350 cubic inch.

 

alot of older cars, 50'-mid 70's or so, used the cui, or cubic inch number. this number was often a "badge" on the front fender. but, as stated above, most companies switched over to ltr, or litre.
