Default Door hinge trouble

My truck was in an accident recently. My buddy was driving behind a tractor trailer and a box was in the middle of the road causing the 18 wheelers auto brake system to engage however the brake lights failed to come on. I've never seen an 18wlr stop that fast in my life! My Bro did the best anyone could have. When it became obvious that we weren't going to stop in time he headed for the emergency shoulder but there was barely enough room between the trailer and guardrail and the corner of the trailer cut the fender of my '03 Tahoe open like a can opener until it got to the door and bent the edge of the door back pretty bad but it still open and shut without too much difficulty.
I felt like I won the lottery yesterday when I found a junkyard that had a good fender and door from an '01 Yukon in the exact same color until I tried to put the door on... the front of the door lines up decent but the back is about an inch too low so the door won't close. I was hoping there was adjustment but learned that the hinges are spot welded with a sealant applied around the edges to keep moisture out. The bead of sealant is cracked along the top so obviously the hinge moved even though the damage is not really visible.
So I guess my question is; can I use something to pry or push the hinge back into position without breaking the welds? Has anyone else had this problem? I know it's an older truck but it's been the most dependable vehicle I've ever had (I'm 52yrs old) and still runs and drives perfectly and used to look pretty good as well. I'm not ready to let it go!
Thank you if you've taken the time to read this long story. I felt that details of the accident were important.

You need to sue the trucking company for damages. There is no way ANY brake light should not have come on, driver or auto-sensing computer. It's that simple and yes I am a Driver.

Default Success!!!

Thanks for reading all that 'oilcanhenry'! I appreciate it!
Before I got into plumbing and HVAC, I drove trucks too for a building supply company and operated a drywall type boom. The Boom trucks were of coarse 10 wheels but we often had to pull an 8 wheel 16'-18' trailer which sucks to back up compared to an 18 wheeler (which I very occasionally drove) in my opinion. That's too many words to say that I am familiar with them😄. The truck we tangled with was a Volvo and I can't overstate how fast that thing stopped! Something obviously malfunctioned though. I was on the shoulder and the truck was in the right hand travel lane of I-95 in VA with lots of cars behind him. He jumped out of the passenger side and started jogging towards me asking if we were ok. My Bro was still in the Tahoe a little dazed but I jumped out to check the damage. I saw the rig rolling backwards and yelled at the guy twice before he saw it and stopped it just before it backed over a small SUV so obviously things were malfunctioning! The thing is in VA if you hit someone from behind it's automatically your fault no matter what pretty much. I just didn't want to deal with it and thought it wouldn't be too hard or expensive to fix so I asked the driver if we were good and of coarse he said yes because I saved his ***😄! I got the fender and door in the same color for $250 and the brand new body shop around the corner fixed my door issue in a little over a minute. Just like I have my magic tools , they got theirs! He didn't even charge me because I'm going to do some work for him and he's going to put the fender on too when I do his work😊. This tool is awesome! It clicks into the door latch and the other end goes into the striker and it has a lever. He got it right on the first try.
