Early Engine Spark Plugs
I have a 1965 327 out of a Corvette in my 1938 Chevy P/U ,back when these engines were built Gas was different, lead was added as a lubricant ? these days its unleaded with 10% Ethanol if not more ,so is R45TS plug still good with todays fuel or is a Platinum Plug the way to go?the Block has been bored over .030"the Cam is bigger than stock i was told its a 3/4 cam what ever that means ,there is 8000 Mi. on the motor since the rebuild 18 years ago. Thank you for your time,

If you are using the correct cylinder heads for a 1965 327 they will be the gasket type spark plugs not the tapered seat plugs which you stated that are being used .R45ts would be compatable with todays fuel and should have no issues.the 3/4 cam is old bench racing talk which refers to a cam with .75 lift other than Cam dynamics which built a series of camshafts which they named the 3/4 Cam, which had a loping idle and high performance sound ,it was really said to impress the individuals who didnt know camshafts.
