Default Engine no start

Hey guys, got a 1997 Tahoe 2 door 5.7 vortec V8 with about 160K miles. Truck started up fine and ran about a mile or so down the road when the engine just stopped. All electronics were still on and functioning, but the engine just died. No rough idle or anything, just stopped. The truck will turn over just fine but simply will not fire, doesn't even try to fire. Things I have done so far:

1. Replaced the distributor cap and rotor
2. Pulled spark plug to verify I am getting spark
3. Replaced fuel filter
4. Pulled alternator and had it tested (good)
5. I can hear the fuel pump engaging when I turn the key on

At a loss here, wanted to get everyone's thoughts on this.

Do a fuel pressure check. Just because you hear the fuel pump engage doesn't mean it is putting out enough pressure to run the engine.

Another reason I wouldn't ask my wife to "hit the ignition" with me checking it.
