I have a 96 Tahoe, 4wd, that I'm working on and I can't get the fan off the water pump!!!Have tried many different wrenches and tools, Any suggestion!!!! 350 vortec[]

 

Look up lisle tools part # 43300. Its a pneumatic fan clutch tool kit. You use it w/an air hammer. It will also helps to leave the belt on when breaking it loose. Be sure you are turning left also! I have had the kit for a few years & it is one of the best tools in my box.

 

Is the belt still on?
If not, put it on and start then stop the truck.
Then you should be able to use a wrench and a hammer. Normal left hand thread.
