Default Fuel Sending unit - 1994 Suburban

Hi all. New to the forum, figured I'd try here to see if anyone could provide some feedback.
I've noticed, that the newer Dorman/off brand sending units are prone to bending under what appears to be the inertia of the fuel pump. This causes the float to read back to the gauge incorrectly, or act bouncy and over all just not function like it should. Has anyone else experienced this in their gen 8 suburban or equivalent 1500 series? I gather it is happening because of the weaker tubing used that the fuel pump hangs from, lets it slowly, or in my most recent case, after about 5-10 cycles of the fuel pump, bend upwards, and cause the gauge issues. This has happened 3 times now, and most recently it manifested very quickly after replacing the sending unit. Anyone have any tips, or experience with this issue? Do I need to just pony up for a better sending unit, or has someone found a way to maybe fab some sort of SS bracket or something to keep it from happening? Thanks for any discussion on this. It is much appreciated.

This is what happens to the sending unit.

It winds up looking like this, so you can see how it will mess with the float position, and in turn provide the gauge with wonky info.

Some of the Dorman stuff is good, but in this case, I'd stick with an ACDelco unit.
